One of the features not currently included in TURNTABLE is the IntegrAAL Social Engine (ISE) developed by IPN, which includes health parameters and recommended activities. More specifically, this component, monitor users’ behavioural patterns and instigates action when these do not conform to expected behaviours, such as a prolonged period in one place without moving. Most of us fidget, even when we are in one place or asleep …

If unusual behaviour is detected, vital information is provided from linked wearable devices and/ or sensors to caregivers via the service app stimulating a response. However, integration of ISE withing TURNTABLE would also support independence whilst remaining safe. Carers, whether family, friends or professional service, would be able to monitor discreetly activities in and out the home including meals and whether aspects of the diet might be improved. The extent of this access, however, would be controlled by the user, ensuring privacy and a sense of control.

Ultimately, IPN would like interaction with ISE to be voice-controlled, something like better-known artificial intelligence, such as Alexa and Siri, to create more natural interactions.
